Staff from Ecclesfield School have been putting their best feet forward to support Cancer Research UK, taking on the demanding Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – and they have already raised an incredible £2,000.
The team tackled the iconic route covering Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, battling steep climbs, challenging terrain and some less-than-perfect weather along the way. Despite the tough conditions, spirits remained high from start to finish.
Off we go up Pen-y-Ghent
Reaching the top of the first peak
The long slog across to Whernside
Making it to the second peak… and then heading back down the other side
The climb up Ingleborough
Realising we probably should have read the guide information about bad weather!
Standing proudly at the top of Ingleborough
Making it back and successfully completing the challenge
Celebrating with a well-earned curry
The team’s achievement is a fantastic example of determination, teamwork and community spirit, all in support of an important cause.
Every contribution helps support the vital work of Cancer Research UK, funding life-saving research and bringing us closer to beating cancer.
Current total raised: £2,000 and counting!
Thank you to everyone who has supported the challenge so far.
