Getting to school

Bike: Many students choose to cycle to school, enjoying the benefits of fresh air and exercise. To support this, the school provides a secure, lockable bike storage area that is staffed each morning to ensure bikes are kept safe. However, we strongly recommend that students also bring their own bike locks for added security.

Car: For students arriving by car, we kindly ask parents to use the designated drop-off sections within the horseshoe area of the school car park. Please avoid entering the main front car park where the marked bays are located, unless you are parking to come into the building. This helps maintain a steady flow of traffic, ensures students can arrive safely and without delay, and keeps the main carriageway clear for all users.

Please do not:

  • Park in any other area except marked parking bays or ‘Buses Only’ bays.
  • Block or park across people’s driveways
  • Park or drive on pavements
  • Be rude or abusive to local residents, pedestrians and other drivers

Parking on pavements has caused obstruction for parents and residents with some instances of parents with push chairs, toddlers and pupils having to walk in the road because the pavement was blocked. We appreciate that it can be very difficult to park near the school, but parking in this manner is putting your children at risk. Please allow yourself extra time to park away from the school and walk around with your child.

Bus: there are several different Bus options in the local area depending on where our students are beginning their journey. For all the latest school bus service information, please visit - Travel South Yorkshire - School Bus Service InformationIf you have any concerns or would like further information about school bus services, please visit- Travel South Yorkshire - Contact Us.  Children and young people using dedicated schools buses will need to have the right ticket for the service they are using, unless your child is entitled to free home to school transport (Zoom Zero Travel Pass).

Don't forget your pass! Young people can travel for £1 per journey with their Zoom Under 16 Travel Pass or Zoom 16-18 Travel Pass.
